Dehra (Kangra), March 15 -- A team of the Central Empowered Committee (CEC) visited Dehra in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh on Sunday to examine issues related to the felling of trees on Khudaro land.

The committee, led by CEC member Chandra Prakash Goyal, held a detailed meeting with forest department officials to understand the regulatory framework governing such land, the process for granting permissions, and the concerns raised by locals.

During the interaction, officials informed the team that khair trees have been growing on Khudaro land in the Dehra area for nearly seven decades.
