Hamirpur, April 22 -- The State Election Commission has announced elections for 51 urban local bodies across Himachal Pradesh, including four municipal corporations, 25 municipal councils, and 22 nagar panchayats.
In Hamirpur district, elections will be held for two urban bodies, the Sujanpur Municipal Council and the Bhota Municipal Council. Sujanpur has nine wards, while Bhota comprises seven wards.
Deputy Commissioner Gandharva Rathore said that the Model Code of Conduct has come into immediate effect in both municipal areas following the announcement of the election schedule.
