Shimla, April 30 -- The State Election Commission (SEC) Himachal Pradesh on Thursday reveived 535 nominations filed by candidates for the upcoming Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) elections in Himachal Pradesh.
On Wednesday the Commission had received 155 nominations on the first day.
ULB elections are to be held on May 17, covering 51 urban bodies -- including four municipal corporations Dharamshala, Palampur, Mandi and Solan, besides 25 Municipal Councils and 22 Nagar Panchayats.
District-wise figures reveal variations in the number of nominations, reflecting differing levels of electoral activity.
Some areas recorded higher participation on Thursday, with nominations reaching up to 98 in Kangra while others reported 77 in Mandi, 63 Shimla, ...
