Shimla, Jan. 8 -- Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu announced that the state government would formulate a comprehensive Senior Residency Policy for all medical colleges in Himachal Pradesh to rationalise senior resident posts and ensure optimal utilisation of medical manpower.

Presiding over a high-level meeting of the Health Education and Health Department here on Wednesday, the Chief Minister said the policy would address existing gaps in the deployment of senior residents and strengthen both academic training and clinical services in government medical colleges.
