Shimla, Feb. 26 -- The Himachal Pradesh government has set up a Rs 2 crore Innovation Fund to promote skill development and strengthen the start-up ecosystem in the state.

The initiative aims to encourage youth-led innovation and equip young people with industry-oriented, future-ready skills aligned with emerging market demands.

The announcement was made by Technical Education Minister Rajesh Dharmani here on Thursday, while chairing a review meeting with officials of the Department of Technical Education and the Himachal Pradesh Technical Education Board, Dharamshala.

He said the government's priority is to ensure that youth across the state have access to high-quality, modern and employment-oriented training.
