Shimla, Oct. 27 -- State Technical Education Minister Rajesh Dharmani today announced that Himachal Pradesh's first digital university will be established in Kasaru, under the Siyun Panchayat of the Ghumarwin assembly constituency in Bilaspur district, at an investment of Rs 300 crore.

Addressing a public meeting at Gram Panchayat Siyun, Dharmani stated that the land acquisition process for the ambitious project is underway, and construction work will commence soon.

The Minister said that the establishment of the digital university will provide access to world-class, affordable, and quality education to the youth of the region. He called the initiative a historic step towards democratising education in the state.
