Shimla, Oct. 15 -- Himachal Pradesh Public Works Department (PWD) Secretary, Dr. Abhishek Jain, issued an ultimatum stating that all lands gifted for road construction must be mutated in the name of the Department within the next 10 days. He emphasized that all entries for existing roads must be accurately recorded in the revenue records to ensure transparency and legal compliance.
He also directed senior officers to conduct regular inspections of ongoing works, offices, and rest houses, and to submit detailed reports to higher authorities to ensure effective supervision and accountability.
