Shimla, Dec. 3 -- Former Congress MLA Subhash Manglate's courtesy call on BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda at the party headquarters in New Delhi has triggered fresh political speculation within Himachal Pradesh's ruling saffron camp.

The brief meeting, officially described as a greeting, is being widely interpreted in state political circles as an early signal of shifting equations ahead of the next Assembly polls.

Manglate, a two-time MLA from Chopal, has remained an unpredictable player in the constituency's politics. He won twice on Congress Ticket but lost to Balbir Verma in 2012, who won as an Independent,Manglate was sidelined by the party in 2022 when the ticket was handed toRajneesh Khimta.
