Shimla, March 5 -- In order to promote green energy, the Himachal Pradesh government has signed a memorandum of commitment (MoC) with Chandigarh-based Spray Engineering Devices Limited to develop India's first integrated manufacturing facility for API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients), green hydrogen, and 2G ethanol. The project, valued at Rs 1,400 crore, would be established in the BBN area of Solan district and is expected to generate employment for 1,000 youths. The facility will initially require 30 MW of green hydrogen in its first phase, with future demand projected to reach 50 MW.
