Shimla, April 2 -- In a significant action against narcotics, the Shimla Police in Himachal Pradesh informed on Thursday of a major seizure of about 288 grams of heroin, locally known as "chitta," in what is being described as one of the largest drug recoveries in the district this year.
According to police officials here on Wednesday, a man from Haryana has been arrested in connection with the case.
The police officials further stated that the recovery was made on March 24, when a team from the Shimla Police Special Cell was on patrol in the ISBT Shimla area as part of an ongoing campaign against drug trafficking.
