Shimla, July 1 -- Himachal Pradesh Panchyati Raj Minister Anirudh Singh was booked for allegedly assaulting a National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) Engineer here today.
The incident allegedly took place after a five-story building collapsed at Bhattakuffer in Chamyana in the periphery of the city last morning. The minister is the local MLA of Kusumpti assembly constituency.
NHAI Manager (Technical) Achal Jindal, in an FIR lodged at Dhalli Police station, alleged that he, along with the site engineer Yogesh Verma, was called for a meeting by Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Rural Mangeet Sharma to review the building collapse.
