Shimla, Sept. 2 -- Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Tuesday expressed hope that the state would secure compensation worth Rs 4,300 crore as its share in the Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) project.
Replying to a debate on resource mobilisation to overcome the state's financial distress, Sukhu informed the Assembly that the government had already raised Rs 625 crore through excise revenue.
He said the state had recently won major litigations in the High Court and Supreme Court, including regaining control of the prime hospitality unit Wildflower Hall and securing its free power share in the JSW Hydropower project by engaging senior legal experts.
