Dharamshala, Dec. 22 -- Health officials launched a mass polio immunization campaign Sunday in Himachal Pradesh's Shahpur constituency, aiming to vaccinate more than 11,000 children under age 5.
Kewal Singh Pathania, a state legislator and deputy chief whip, inaugurated the Pulse Polio drive at the Primary Health Centre in Chadi by administering drops to children. The campaign is running simultaneously across the state.
Officials deployed 204 teams comprising 408 health workers and 20 supervisors across 102 booths to reach 11,324 children in the zero to 5 age group.
