Shimla, Dec. 1 -- Himachal Pradesh is reeling under drought-like conditions after recording one of its driest Novembers in history.
Following a monsoon marked by heavy rains, the state witnessed weak weather activity throughout November, leading to an alarming moisture deficit that has disrupted Rabi sowing and raised concerns for horticulture.
According to the Monthly Weather Report issued by the Meteorological Centre, Shimla, the state received only 1 mm of rainfall in November-its ninth-lowest rainfall since 1901, matching previous records from 1983 and 2021.
