Shimla, Nov. 14 -- Himachal Pradesh High Court, in its order dated November 12, has placed strong emphasis on the scientific disposal of garbage in Kasol, observing that the State's response to the persistent waste crisis remains inadequate despite months of judicial supervision, in a suo motu Public Interest Litigation.
Taking note of the latest status report submitted by the Deputy Commissioner, Kullu, the court recorded that the administration is now moving ahead with the diversion of 0.1982 hectare of forest land to establish a Solid Waste Management Site for the tourist-heavy region.
