Shimla, Oct. 20 -- The Himachal Pradesh High Court has stayed the transfer of a medical officer who was shifted just a month after her posting at Civil Hospital, Kaza, in Lahaul-Spiti district, observing a prima facie violation of the state's transfer policy.
Dr Pasang Dolma, appointed as a trainee medical officer, approached the High Court against the government's transfer order dated October 13, shifting her from Kaza to PHC Kibber located around 35 km away. She was represented by advocate Kusum Chaudhary.
The petitioner argued that the transfer was arbitrary and against the transfer policy laid down by the state government mandating a minimum tenure of three years at a posting.
