Shimla, July 9 -- The Himachal Pradesh High Court has reserved its decision on interim bail pleas filed by BJP state president Dr Rajiv Bindal and MLA Sukhram Chaudhary, who are among the accused in a case involving communal violence and attempt to murder.

A bench of Justice Virender Singh reserved the order after hearing arguments from both sides on July 8. Advocate General Anup Rattan, representing the state, strongly opposed the bail plea. He argued that the petitioners, holding significant political positions, had incited communal tensions and endangered public peace. He emphasized that the FIR charges pertain to disturbing harmony between two religious communities and leading violent protests.
