Shimla, Dec. 30 -- The Himachal Pradesh High Court on Monday listed for hearing on January 2 a petition related to gram panchayat elections after directing the registry to amend the memo of parties.
Division bench of Chief Justice Gurmeet Singh Sandhawalia and Justice Jiya Lal Bhardwaj, following a submission by Advocate General Anoop Rattan that the name of counsel for one of the parties had been wrongly recorded.
Accepting the request, the Court ordered correction of the record and deferred further proceedings. With pleadings now complete, the Court is expected to hear arguments in the matter on the next date.
