Shimla, Oct. 29 -- The Governor of Himachal Pradesh, Shiv Pratap Shukla, has taken serious cognizance of the Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu government's growing tendency to appoint acting officers in key administrative positions instead of regular ones.

Acting on a complaint filed by an activist, the Governor has written to Chief Secretary Sanjay Gupta, seeking a report and appropriate action on the issue that has triggered widespread concern across bureaucratic and political circles.
