Shimla, Dec. 23 -- The Himachal Pradesh government plans to open 100 CBSE schools from the next academic session, with affiliation already secured for 94 schools, Education Minister Rohit Thakur said.

Chairing a review meeting of the Education Department, he said that affiliation for the remaining schools will be completed by the end of this month.

A separate sub-cadre for CBSE teachers is also being created.

Highlighting the expansion of CBSE education as a flagship project of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, the Minister said the State Government is committed to providing quality and uniform education through CBSE schools.
