Shimla, Oct. 11 -- Himachal Pradesh government is planning to establish a Cyber City in Waknaghat in Solan district.
This was announced by Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Friday, while chairing a high-level meeting of the Digital Technologies and Governance Department.
He said that the proposed Cyber City, to be set up over 650 bighas of land, will serve as a hub for data storage, artificial intelligence (AI), and other IT-based enterprises, giving a major boost to the state's digital economy and employment generation.
The Chief Minister directed the department to finalize the detailed blueprint of the project at the earliest.
