Shimla, March 16 -- Himachal Pradesh government has notified the creation of nine new Gram Panchayats following the reorganisation and bifurcation of existing Panchayat areas to strengthen rural administration in Shimla district.
According to the notification, Mandyalu has been constituted as a new Gram Panchayat with its Panchayat Ghar at Katog. Kotidgar has also been created in Totu block, with its Panchayat Ghar at Bhagali.
The existing Dhamun Panchayat has been reorganised, leading to the creation of three separate panchayats - Dhamun, Khalag and Kotidgar.
In Theog subdivision, Gadaha Gram Panchayat has been notified with its Panchayat Ghar at Gadaha Kufri.
