Shimla, Aug. 22 -- Himachal Pradesh government has come under scrutiny after it was revealed that it terminated the services of 81 outsourced drivers employed with the Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Limited (HPSEBL).
The move, attributed to the scrapping of old government vehicles, has left dozens of workers jobless, with the state government explicitly stating it has no policy for their re-employment.
The information was disclosed in a written reply by Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu to a question raised in the state assembly by MLAs Yogesh Kumar and Vipin Singh Parmar.
