Shimla, Jan. 5 -- In a major reform-oriented step under the state government's 'Vyavastha Parivartan' initiative, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Monday said record 980 pending compassionate appointment cases have been cleared, providing long-awaited relief and social security to families of deceased government employees.
He said these appointments were processed during a special relaxation period from October 1 to December 31, 2025, aimed at addressing years of backlog and procedural delays. The appointments span Class-III Junior Office Assistant (IT) and Class-IV Multi-Task Worker (MTW) categories across multiple departments.
