Shimla, May 26 -- In a significant relief for parents, the Himachal Pradesh government on Monday revised the bus pass fare structure for students of private schools in Shimla city.
The announcement was made by Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri after a delegation of parents met him to voice concerns over the recent fare hike.
Earlier, the Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) offered bus passes under two slabs -Rs 1800 for 0-5 km and Rs 2500 for distances beyond 5 km. The revised structure now introduces three slabs, offering considerable savings.
