Shimla, April 5 -- Himachal Governor Kavinder Gupta called for stronger industry-academia linkages to enhance the quality of higher education and equip students with skills relevant to the changing job market.
Interacting with a delegation of academicians at Lok Bhawan in Shimla on Sunday, the Governor stressed the need to promote research orientation, innovation and holistic development among students to strengthen the higher education system in the state.
The delegation included Dr Pardeep Singh Walia, Vice-Chancellor of Maharaja Agrasen University, Dr Ashwani Kumar Bhalla, Principal of Government College, Gurdaspur in Punjab, and Dr Raj Kumar Singh from Himachal Pradesh University.
