Shimla, Aug. 24 -- Himachal Pradesh Government has expanded the jurisdiction of Commercial Courts, allowing them to hear cases valued up to Rs One crore.
As per a notification issued by the Home Department on August 18, 2025, District Judges and Additional District Judges have now been vested with the powers of Commercial Courts in their respective jurisdictions.
From now on, all commercial disputes with a valuation between Rs three lakh and Rs one crore would be filed directly before these courts.
Earlier, cases above Rs 60 lakh were admitted before the Himachal Pradesh High Court. With the new notification, such cases will now be taken up at the district level, thereby reducing the case load on the High Court and ensuring quicker dispo...
