Shimla, Jan. 6 -- Leveraging the effective use of information technology to make public services accessible, transparent and time-bound, Himachal Pradesh has emerged as the numero uno state in the country, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said today.
Addressing the General House meeting of the Society for Promotion of IT and e-Governance in Himachal Pradesh (SITEG), the Chief Minister said that digital governance has transformed public service delivery across the state, including in remote and tribal regions. He said that most government services are now available online, reducing delays, enhancing transparency and sparing citizens repeated visits to government offices.
