Shimla, July 17 -- Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today said he has urged Union Home Minister, Amit Shah, to visit the state's disaster-hit areas to personally assess the situation.
Speaking to journalists here, Sukhu said the Home Minister has assured him that he would visit the areas shortly.
Sukhu informed that he had held discussions with Union Health Minister, J P Nadda, who assured him that the state's demands would be sympathetically considered.
"We do not want any credit. The state government is ready to meet with anyone under his leadership for the welfare of disaster-hit people," Sukhu said.
