Shimla, Jan. 12 -- In a move aimed at strengthening the long-standing friendly relations between India and Bhutan, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Monday flagged off a vehicle carrying Chilgoza (pine nut) saplings as a gift to Bhutan.
The vehicle was flagged off from the State Secretariat in Shimla, symbolising growing cooperation between the two Himalayan regions in the field of environmental conservation and sustainable forestry.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that India and Bhutan share warm, cordial and time-tested relations, rooted in mutual trust and shared cultural and environmental values.
