New Delhi, May 23 -- Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu met Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and urged her to resolve various budgetary and financial issues of the state.
The CM told media in the State Information Department on Friday that he met Sitharaman on Thursday night and urged her to pay attention to the issues related to the state government.
The CM discussed the issue of apple import from Turkiye and also urged for an increase in import duty on apples to protect the interests of domestic growers of the state.
The Chief Minister urged the finance minister to increase the borrowing limit of Himachal Pradesh and other special category states by at least two per cent.
