Shimla, Sept. 30 -- Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has strongly defended government visits abroad, asserting that neither he nor his cabinet colleagues used public funds for international travel.
His statement comes amid a raging controversy over a cancelled Health Department tour to London and France that included the Health Minister Dhaniram Shandil's son.
"Neither I nor my cabinet colleagues spend public coffers on foreign visits. I went abroad by spending money from my own pocket," the Chief Minister stated, addressing the media for the first time since the controversy erupted.
