Shimla, Sept. 15 -- The Himachal Pradesh Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Monday approved a series of key decisions aimed at addressing staff shortages, strengthening healthcare, promoting self-employment, and ensuring planned development across the state.

To improve manpower in essential sectors, the Cabinet cleared the engagement of 1,602 Bijli Upbhogta Mitras in the Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Limited and the recruitment of 1,000 T-Mates. It also sanctioned 645 Patwari posts on a trainee basis, 400 Staff Nurses as Job Trainees in medical colleges, and 300 Job Trainees in Gram Panchayats.
