Una, Jan. 8 -- Himachal Pradesh has begun rolling out electric buses as part of a push to green its public transport system, with 297 e-buses set to be added to the state-run Himachal Road Transport Corporation's fleet, Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri said on WednesdayDeputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri said the first prototype electric bus has arrived in Solan from Hyderabad and will undergo trial runs on the Solan-Shimla route over the next two days. Based on the performance, trials will be conducted in a phased manner on additional routes and at various HRTC depots across the state.
