Shimla, Aug. 19 -- The Himachal Pradesh Assembly today turned down Governor-cum-Chancellor Shiv Pratap Shukla's suggestion to amend the Himachal Pradesh Agriculture and Horticulture University Act, 2024, in line with the Union Government's University Model Act, intensifying the ongoing standoff between the state government and Raj Bhavan over the appointment of Vice-Chancellors in the state's farm universities.
