Shimla, Oct. 19 -- After a week of clear weather resulting in a dry, cold spell, the weather in Himachal Pradesh is forecast to change from October 21, as the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts snowfall in the state's high reaches.
Shimla's minimum temperature rose 4.1 degrees Celsius above normal to 15 degrees Celsius. Conversely, plain areas like Una, Hamirpur, Mandi, and Kangra recorded lower temperatures than Shimla, making them feel colder.
Dense fog enveloped some areas of Mandi, Bilaspur, and Hamirpur districts this morning, for which the Meteorological Center, Shimla, had issued a yellow fog alert.
