Hyderabad, Jan. 6 -- Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu on Tuesday night told the Legislative Assembly that the Hyderabad Industrial Land Transformation (HILT) Policy has been designed to protect Hyderabad and the State while generating substantial revenue of Rs 10,776 crore for the exchequer.

Participating in the debate on the HILT Policy, Bhatti Vikramarka said the policy would be implemented within six months in a transparent manner with uniform rules for all. He pointed out that before the HILT Policy, land conversion fetched only about Rs 12 lakh per acre, whereas under the new policy the State would earn nearly Rs 7 crore per acre.
