Prayagraj, Nov. 25 -- Preparations for the annual Magh Mela in Prayagraj are underway in full force, but following the recent blasts in Delhi, authorities have significantly ramped up security measures.
Access to the Mela area has been tightened, and flying drones without prior permission has been strictly prohibited. The Magh Mela is scheduled to begin on January 3 and continue until February 15.
Sources said on Tuesday that bomb disposal squads and dog units are conducting frequent checks across the fairgrounds. Temporary structures and ongoing construction work are also being closely inspected to ensure safety.
