Lucknow, Jan. 6 -- Uttar Pradesh has once again demonstrated a leading performance in the country in the direction of tuberculosis (TB) elimination.
Last year, the state had set a target of identifying 6.75 lakh TB patients, against which 6.90 lakh patients were identified and their treatment ensured. Prior to this, Uttar Pradesh had also achieved its target for identifying TB patients in 2023 and 2024.
Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Vice Chairman of the National TB Task Force, said here today that the most effective way to eliminate TB is to identify and treat as many patients as possible in a timely manner. Uttar Pradesh has consistently made better efforts in this direction.
