Thiruvananthapuram, Oct. 13 -- The National Institute of Ocean Technology (INCOIS) has issued a high tide and tidal surge warning, urging residents and fishermen along parts of Kerala and Kanyakumari coasts to exercise caution.
According to the advisory, from 5:30 pm on October 14 to 11:30 pm on October 16, sea waves are expected to reach heights of 0.8 to 1.1 meters along the Kerala coast, particularly in Thiruvananthapuram and Kollam from Alappattu to Idav.
In Kanyakumari, waves are expected to reach 1.0 to 1.1 meters along the coast from Neerodi to Arokyapuram, raising the risk of coastal inundation.
