High probability of snowfall in Lahaul-Spiti between December 20 and 22

Shimla, Dec. 20 -- The higher reaches of Himachal Pradesh, particularly the tribal district of Lahaul and Spiti, are likely to witness light to moderate snowfall over the next 48 hours, raising hopes of relief amid prolonged dry conditions.

According to the Lahaul Spiti district administration, there are possibilities of rainfall and snowfall from 8 am on December 20 to 8 am on December 22. Several areas in Lahaul-Spiti are expected to receive snow, with very high probabilities on December 21.

As per the forecast, Keylong is likely to see a 95 per cent chance of snowfall on December 21, while Udaipur may receive snow with a probability ranging between 75 and 90 per cent on the same day.
