Mysuru, Jan. 2 -- A recent endline survey by the Karnataka Monitoring and Evaluation Authority (KAMEA) reveals high public trust in Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, while highlighting gaps in broader voter awareness and electoral processes.
The survey, part of a Knowledge, Attitudes, and Practices (KAP) assessment, found that over 83.61% of respondents expressed confidence in the electoral system and EVMs.
Most voters acknowledged the integrity of the machines and the role of EVMs in facilitating transparent, accurate, and efficient voting. Recognition of the importance of casting each vote was similarly strong, with 81.39% stating that their participation directly contributes to democracy.
