Chandigarh, Jan. 21 -- The Punjab and Haryana High Court has been approached by Khadoor Sahib MP Amritpal Singh, who has sought judicial permission to take part in the forthcoming Budget Session of Parliament starting January 28. The court is expected to take up the matter for hearing on Tuesday.
In the petition filed through his counsel, Amritpal Singh has argued that his continued absence from Parliament is directly impacting his constituency. The plea states that due to his inability to attend parliamentary proceedings, he has been unable to access and utilise funds allocated under the MPLAD scheme, delaying developmental works in the region.
