Chandigarh, Dec. 2 -- The Punjab and Haryana High Court has issued notices to the Central government, Haryana and Chandigarh administrations on a petition filed by INLD national president and former MLA Abhay Singh Chautala, who has sought Z or Z-plus category security under central protection. The court has given the authorities 14 days to respond, with the next hearing scheduled for December 16.
In his petition, Chautala stated that between June 2023 and July 2025, he received repeated threats from unknown callers, foreign numbers and individuals claiming to be international gangsters.
