Ranchi, Oct. 7 -- Jharkhand High Court today concluded the hearing on a petition filed by automobile businessman Vinay Singh challenging his arrest in connection with the ongoingforest land scam.

Justice Ambuj Nath heard arguments from both sides before reserving the verdict.

In the petition, Vinay Singh claimed that he was wrongfully implicated in the case.

During the proceedings, his counsel, Advocate Indrajeet Sinha, contended that the arrest was not conducted in accordance with legal procedures and that the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) acted without sufficient evidence.

Sinha argued that proper investigation protocols were not followed, and Singh's detention occurred despite the inquiry being incomplete.
