Ranchi, March 10 -- The Bharatiya Janata Party on Tuesday alleged that the Hemant Soren government in Jharkhand is deliberately weakening constitutional institutions by delaying appointments to several key posts.

State BJP spokesperson Pratul Shah Deo said the government has failed to fill important positions in institutions such as the Lokayukta, State Information Commission, Women's Commission and Child Protection Commission despite repeated observations from the Jharkhand High Court.

He said the delay reflects administrative failure and shows the government's lack of sensitivity towards democratic institutions.
