Vijayawada, Aug. 13 -- Heavy rains in several districts of Andhra Pradesh have created havoc and cut off road connectivity in many villages. All streams and rivulets are overflowing and two rain related deaths were reported in the city.
Heavy rain occurred in the city for over two hours last night. Many thoroughfares inundated in two feet of water causing severe inconvenience to motorists.
Two rain related deaths were reported in the city as one person, Madhusudhan died when he fell in a manhole at Komala Vilas centre in Kothapet area and another youth died after falling into a drainage canal at Loyola college here.
