Beed, Sept. 15 -- Heavy and continuous rains are lashing Beed district, including Parli and Ambajogai talukas.
In the last 24 hours, several revenue circles have recorded extremely heavy rainfall, and the downpour continues. With the gates of many major projects opened, several rivers in the district have been flooded.
Small and large reservoirs are overflowing, rivers are in spate, many villages have been cut off, water is flowing over bridges, and several roads have been closed.
Former minister and MLA Dhananjay Munde has appealed to citizens of the district to stay alert and take precautions.
