Hamirpur (HP), July 22 -- Normal life in Hamirpur district has come to a near standstill following heavy rains for the last 48 hours.
Though there was some break in the rain in the afternoon hours of Monday, it started again thereafter and was continuing and creating problems for the people.
Reports said road links in interiors of Sujanpur, Bhoranj and Barsar areas of the district have been affected badly due to falling of huge debris on the roads. People were forced to travel on foot to reach their destinations.
The worst affected are the students of schools which opened during the monsoon season as there were breaks for them during the summer.
