Amaravati, Sept. 29 -- The trough from the well-marked low-pressure area over the Gulf of Cambay and neighbourhood to the west-central Bay of Bengal, extending across south Gujarat, Vidarbha, south Chhattisgarh, south Odisha and north coastal Andhra Pradesh at 0.9 km above mean sea level, persists, the Meteorological Centre said on Monday.
In its daily weather report, it said the upper air cyclonic circulation over north coastal Andhra Pradesh and adjoining areas between 1.5 km and 5.8 km above mean sea level, tilting southwards with height, also persists.
The southwest monsoon is weak over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, and normal over Rayalaseema.
